Why it wins
Evidence Stripe can't see.
Card issuers decide on proof. What the customer did after paying, from the same IP and device as checkout, is exactly what "fraudulent" and "product not received" claims fall apart on. Your product has that proof. Your payment processor doesn't.

One click per dispute
Every dispute gets a fact-checked evidence package, an honest score and the one thing that would make it stronger. Preview what the bank sees, edit anything, then submit. Or accept a weak case and keep the counter fee.
Inside your Stripe Dashboard
Your case, right on the Stripe payment.
Open a disputed payment in Stripe and Flatfight shows the case score, the deadline and the one thing that would make it stronger. One click opens it in Flatfight to review and submit.
- Every open dispute in one drawer. The Flatfight app in Stripe lists the disputes that need a response, soonest deadline first.
- Stop the next dispute before it happens. A chargeback on a subscription usually means the next renewal gets disputed too. Turn it on and Flatfight stops the subscription's renewals, or cancels it at once for fraud, as soon as the chargeback arrives. No refunds, and it's off until you choose.

Built for digital businesses on Stripe
Your product already holds the proof.
Banks decide disputes on evidence. For a business that sells access, the strongest evidence is what the customer did after paying, and that lives in your product, not in Stripe.
SaaS and software
Typical disputes: "Fraudulent" and "subscription canceled"
What wins them: Logins and feature use after the payment, from the same IP and device as checkout; the cancellation terms they accepted; earlier undisputed payments on the same card. Flatfight can also stop the subscription, so the next renewal isn't disputed too.
Online courses and coaching
Typical disputes: "Product not received" and "product unacceptable"
What wins them: Lessons completed, files downloaded and sign-ins, straight from Teachable or Thinkific; the refund policy accepted at checkout; their own messages about the course.
Memberships and communities
Typical disputes: "Subscription canceled" and "unrecognized"
What wins them: Activity after the renewal date, no cancellation on record, and the renewal terms they agreed to. Flatfight can also stop the subscription, so the next renewal isn't disputed too.
Digital products and templates
Typical disputes: "Fraudulent" and "product not received"
What wins them: Download records with IP and device, a matching billing address, and Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0 from earlier purchases on the same card.

Assumes the same wins either way; we don't promise a win rate. Flatfight's price is the cheapest plan for your numbers, per-win fees included. Not included: Stripe's own dispute fees (in the US, $15 per dispute plus a $15 counter fee when you respond, refunded if you win). You pay them with either option, so they don't change the difference.

Read exactly what the bank receives
A $999 "fraudulent" dispute: a summary with a timeline, the receipt with 3D Secure and address checks, and the customer's activity log. Every sentence is checked against the data. Sample data, real code.
Built to Stripe's evidence guidelines. Summary first, a note on what each document proves, 12-point type, no links, one file per evidence type, and always within Stripe's 4.5 MB and 19-page limits.

Evidence a bank can trust.
Every sentence checked against your data
The summary cites the facts behind each sentence. Anything that doesn't match your data is thrown out before you see it.
Honest case scores
Strong, medium or weak, with the reasons. Weak cases get a recommendation to accept and save the $15 fee.
Checks Visa CE 3.0 eligibility
Finds earlier undisputed payments on the same card, matched only on identifiers we can prove.
Issuer-ready PDFs
Receipt, activity log, policies and messages within Stripe's size and page limits.

Security and privacy
Trusted with your Stripe account. Careful with your customers.
Flatfight reads payment data about the people who dispute your charges. Here is exactly how that data is protected.
Encrypted at rest and in transit
All data is stored on AES-256 encrypted disks, and every connection uses TLS. Stripe access tokens are encrypted a second time, with keys kept outside the database, and never written to logs.
The least access that works
Flatfight reads what a dispute needs and writes only disputes and evidence files, plus subscriptions if you turn on automatic cancellation. It can never touch payouts, balances, charges or refunds. Integrations are read-only, and PostHog is searched only for the customer who disputes.
AI that sees only one case
Claude sees just the facts gathered for the dispute it's drafting. Under Anthropic's commercial terms that data isn't used to train models, and we never sell or reuse your data.
EU hosting, GDPR-ready
Servers in Helsinki, Finland, run by Dripwork, a Finnish business. A data processing agreement is part of the terms, and every subprocessor is listed.
Kept only as long as needed
Decided disputes and activity data are deleted after the retention period you choose (6 to 36 months). Export everything or delete your account whenever you like.
Backups and access, locked down
Nightly backups are encrypted to an offline key before they leave the server. Production access is key-only, behind a firewall, with security updates applied automatically.

More than 50 disputes a month? Talk to us about a custom plan, or choose Managed (done for you). A win is charged when Stripe marks a dispute won and its response was prepared by Flatfight.
Prices in USD, excluding applicable taxes. Flatfight is made by Dripwork (Oulu, Finland). Payments are processed by Link, a Stripe company, as reseller; your card statement will show LINK.COM* FLATFIGHT.
How long does setup take? Do I need a developer?
Connecting Stripe takes about two minutes and needs no developer: Flatfight imports your disputes and starts working with your Stripe data right away. Activity data (logins, usage, downloads) is optional and is what turns many weak cases into strong ones: connect PostHog in one click, paste a Teachable API key, paste a URL into Segment, RudderStack or Thinkific, or upload a CSV.
Which tools does Flatfight connect to?
Stripe, through the Flatfight Stripe App. For activity: PostHog and Teachable (Flatfight looks up only the customer who disputes, read-only), Segment and RudderStack, and Thinkific. Anything else works through a CSV upload or the Activity API.
Which disputes does Flatfight handle?
Fraudulent, subscription canceled, product not received, product unacceptable, duplicate, credit not processed and general disputes, plus inquiries, each with evidence matched to the reason. Network compliance disputes need a fee acknowledgement in Stripe, so Flatfight shows them but leaves the response to you.
How does pricing work?
Two ways to pay, neither a percentage. Pay per win: no monthly fee, and each won dispute costs $9, or $19 if it's $100 or more; lose one and you pay nothing. Or a flat monthly plan: Starter ($49, up to 15 disputes a month) or Scale ($99, up to 50), with nothing charged per win. Need more than 50 a month? Ask us for a custom plan. Every dispute gets its full response either way.
When exactly is a win charged?
When Stripe marks a dispute as won and its response was prepared by Flatfight, whether we submitted it or you downloaded it and submitted it yourself. Disputes you answered without our response, Smart Disputes submissions and inquiries are never charged. Wins are added to one monthly invoice.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Connect Stripe and every open dispute gets its score, the evidence found and the full response, with no card. We ask for a card when you first submit a response.
Is the evidence formatted the way Stripe recommends?
Yes. The documents follow Stripe's published evidence guidelines (docs.stripe.com/disputes/best-practices): a summary with a timeline comes first, each document opens with what it proves, text is 12-point or larger on Letter or A4 pages, key details are in bold rather than colour, policies show only the relevant section, there are no links (banks don't follow them), and each evidence type is one file. Every package stays within Stripe's limits of 4.5 MB, 19 pages (Mastercard's maximum, applied to every card) and 150,000 characters of text. You can read a full sample before signing up.
Does it work inside the Stripe Dashboard?
Yes. The Flatfight Stripe App shows the case score, the deadline and what would make it stronger on every disputed payment, and lists your open disputes in the app drawer. One click opens the dispute in Flatfight to review and submit.
Can Flatfight change my subscriptions?
Only if you turn on automatic cancellation in Settings; it's off by default. Then, when a chargeback arrives on a subscription payment, Flatfight either stops its future renewals or cancels it immediately (for fraud), whichever you chose. It never refunds or prorates, leaves inquiries alone, and notes in the evidence that the cancellation came after the dispute.
Does Flatfight submit anything without my approval?
No. By default every evidence package waits for you to click Submit. You can turn on autopilot, which submits only strong cases 48 hours before the deadline, and you can turn it off any time.
Do I need to turn off Stripe Smart Disputes?
Turn off Smart Disputes auto-submission in your Stripe dispute settings. Otherwise Stripe may submit its own packet before you do, and evidence can only be submitted once. Flatfight warns you when Stripe is about to auto-submit.
How is Flatfight different from Chargeflow?
Chargeflow charges 25% of each chargeback it recovers and covers many platforms, including physical-goods stores. Flatfight charges a flat fee per win ($9 or $19) or a flat monthly price, works only with Stripe, and is built for digital businesses whose best evidence is their own usage logs. Our comparison page covers when Chargeflow is the better choice, too.
What does Flatfight access in my Stripe account?
Read access to disputes, charges, customers, invoices, subscriptions, products and checkout sessions, plus write access to disputes and evidence files. No payouts, balances, charges or refunds. The full list with reasons is on our security page.
Does the AI make up evidence?
No. Claude only sees the facts we gathered, every sentence must cite them, and a fact checker rejects anything that doesn't match. If it fails, we use plain template text built from the same facts.
What if a case is weak?
We score every case and tell you when a win is unlikely. Accepting can save Stripe's $15 counter fee, which is refunded only when you win.
Do you guarantee I'll win?
No one can: the card issuer decides every dispute. We make your evidence as complete and clear as your data allows.
Who is Flatfight for?
Digital businesses on Stripe with meaningful ticket sizes: annual SaaS plans, online courses, coaching and agencies. The bigger your disputes, the more a percentage costs you, and the more a flat fee saves.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in Helsinki, Finland (EU), encrypted at rest. Flatfight is operated by Dripwork, a Finnish business. You can export or delete your data at any time.
What if I miss a deadline?
Flatfight emails you when a dispute arrives, and again 72 and 24 hours before it's due. With autopilot on, strong cases are submitted 48 hours before the deadline if you haven't acted. Medium and weak cases always wait for you. Disputes due within 72 hours can always be submitted, even past a monthly plan's limit.
Can you handle our disputes for us?
Yes, with Flatfight Managed (done for you): our team handles every dispute from A to Z. We create the evidence (with custom integrations for the systems that hold it), check and submit each response within 2 business days, and tell you when a case is weak so you don't spend Stripe's counter fee on it. Priced for your volume, flat, never a percentage. Details at flatfight.com/managed.
What happens if I cancel?
A monthly plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and there's no cancellation fee; on Pay per win there's nothing to cancel. Your disputes and evidence stay available, you can export everything, and deleting your account removes your data right away (encrypted backups roll off within 60 days). If you paid us anything, a short record of the agreement and payments is kept for 18 months for payment disputes, then deleted.
