The short version

Chargeflow and Flatfight both build and submit dispute evidence for you. They differ in two ways: how you pay and what they're built for.

  • Chargeflow charges a percentage of every chargeback it recovers. It connects to many platforms and processors, and also sells prevention alerts and fraud screening.
  • Flatfight charges a flat monthly fee and takes nothing from what you win. It works only with Stripe, and it's built for digital businesses whose best evidence is their own product's usage logs.

If you sell physical goods across several processors and want prevention tools too, Chargeflow covers more ground. If you're a Stripe business with meaningful ticket sizes, a flat fee keeps a lot more of each win.

Pricing models compared

Prices as published on 2 October 2026. Check each provider's current pricing before you decide.

Chargeflow Flatfight
Dispute automation 25% of each recovered chargeback (pricing) $49, $99 or $149 a month, by volume
When you pay Only when a chargeback is recovered Every month, whatever the outcome
Share of a won dispute you keep 75% 100%
Prevention alerts Sold separately, per deflected chargeback Not offered
Free trial Pay on results, so no upfront cost 14 days, no card

Percentage pricing costs nothing in a month with no wins. That is a real advantage when disputes are rare or small. It gets expensive as wins grow: on $10,000 of recovered disputes a month, a 25% fee is $2,500 a month, or $30,000 a year. Flatfight's top plan is $149 a month, with unlimited disputes.

A rough rule: if you recover more than about $200 a month, flat pricing costs less than 25% ($49 is 25% of $196). Run your own numbers with the free calculator.

Chargeflow markets itself as the chargeback app recommended by Stripe, and it is an established product. Flatfight is a small, focused tool from a Finnish software business. We think that's the honest picture, and you should weigh it.

Who Flatfight is for

Flatfight fits best if you:

  • sell digital products or services through Stripe: SaaS, online courses, memberships, coaching, agencies;
  • have disputes worth fighting: annual plans, high-ticket programmes, retainers;
  • can show what the customer did after paying: logins, lessons completed, downloads, features used. That evidence decides most "fraudulent" and "product not received" claims for digital goods, and Stripe can't see it on its own;
  • want to see and approve what goes to the bank.

It's a poor fit if you use processors other than Stripe, rely on shipping evidence for physical goods, or want prevention alerts. Chargeflow, or Stripe's own Smart Disputes, will serve you better there.

Switching

Setup takes a few minutes, and you can try Flatfight on your existing disputes before you change anything.

  1. Start a free trial and connect Stripe. Flatfight imports your last 12 months of disputes.
  2. Choose who responds to new disputes. Evidence can usually be submitted only once per dispute, so make sure only one tool responds to each one: turn off automatic submission in the tool you're leaving, and Smart Disputes auto-submission in Stripe (Settings → Disputes).
  3. Send your activity data. Add logins and usage through the API or a CSV export, and paste your refund and cancellation policies once.
  4. Review your first draft. Each open dispute gets an evidence package and a score. Submit it when you're happy with it.

Disputes your previous tool already submitted stay with that tool until the bank decides them.
