What Mastercard 4855 means
Mastercard 4855 is a non-delivery code: the cardholder says the transaction didn't complete, or they never got what they paid for. Stripe lists it as "Transaction Did Not Complete".
On Stripe the dispute shows the reason Product not received, with 4855 as the network reason code. Many Mastercard non-delivery claims are filed under 4853 today, so you may see 4855 less often.
Proving delivery of a digital product
There's no tracking number for software or a course, so delivery means access and use:
- The access email or account creation, with date, time and IP address.
- Logins, downloads or lessons completed after the purchase.
- For services: the dates it was delivered and evidence it took place.
- The product description at checkout, if it said when access starts (for example, a cohort start date).
- The customer's own messages showing they had access.
When to accept
If the customer really never got access, refund or accept, and find out why. A welcome email that went to spam is a common cause.
Every Stripe evidence field and the file limits are in the Stripe dispute evidence guide. For the reason as a whole, see Stripe "Product not received" disputes.

They cover the same kind of claim. Visa 13.1 is "Merchandise/Services Not Received", and Stripe files both under Product not received.
What evidence proves delivery for Mastercard 4855?
